Non- invasive Lymphatic Health Evaluation

SOZO® Digital Health Platform & L-Dex® Analysis

Advanced Bioimpedance Spectroscopy (BIS) for the early detection and monitoring of lymphoedema and fluid retention.

Precision Fluid Monitoring at Recovery Rehab

We are proud to introduce SOZO® — the world’s most advanced non-invasive bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) device.

Traditional methods like tape measures can only detect swelling once it has physically occurred. SOZO® uses sophisticated sensor technology to detect fluid changes at a cellular level, often months before they are visible to the naked eye. This allows our physiotherapists to intervene earlier (Stage 0) and prevent chronic lymphoedema.

The Technology

What is the L-Dex® Score?

The L-Dex® (Lymphoedema Index) is a unique score generated by the SOZO device. It compares the amount of fluid in your at-risk limb against your healthy limb (or a healthy population baseline).

Why it matters: A rise in your L-Dex score can indicate the very beginning of lymphoedema. Detecting this change early allows us to start simple treatments immediately, often stopping the condition from progressing.

Rapid: A full scan takes less than 30 seconds.

Non-Invasive: Stand on the device, hold the sensors. No needles.

Painless: You won’t feel a thing.

Who Should Get Scanned?

We recommend SOZO assessment for:

Cancer Survivors: Particularly breast, melanoma, and pelvic cancer patients at risk of secondary lymphoedema.

Pre-Surgical Baselines: Measuring your fluid levels before surgery gives us the best comparison point for recovery.

Chronic Swelling: Anyone experiencing unexplained heaviness or swelling in legs or arms.

Monitoring: Tracking the effectiveness of your current lymphoedema therapy.

Clinical Benefits

Why we use this technology in our clinic:

Early Detection: Identifies fluid accumulation months before it’s visible.

Objective Data: Removes guesswork. We get precise numbers to track your progress.

Peace of Mind: Regular monitoring helps reduce anxiety about developing lymphoedema.

Better Outcomes: Early detection is key to preventing chronic, irreversible swelling.

What to Expect During a SOZO® Measurement

1

Prep

You will remove your shoes and socks (or tights). No other disrobing is required.

2

Scan

You stand on the device scale and place your hands on the sensors. It takes 30 seconds.

3

Results

Your L-Dex score is available instantly. Your physiotherapist will explain what it means.

4

Track

Your data is stored securely, allowing us to track changes in your fluid levels over time.
